Since 1941 the Florida Water Environment Association (FWEA) has been serving the needs Florida‘s water professionals. Membership in FWEA offers great opportunities for individual and professional involvement in a versatile and active environmental association. FWEA together with the Water Environment Association (WEF) is a leading source of water quality information providing a wide range of resources for individuals to contribute to the water environment profession.

Professional Development: There are numerous opportunities for professional development at both a national and state level. This includes the annual Florida Water Resources Conference (FWRC) as well as seminars and workshops that are hosted by our committees and chapters. Engineers and operators will have opportunities to earn continuing education credits.
Networking Opportunities: Connect locally, regionally and nationally through social events, chapter luncheons, workshops and seminars.
Access to Industry Publications: Your membership includes our monthly print publication, the Florida Water Resources Journal. In it you will find all the latest news on the Florida water quality industry as well as technical articles and proceedings from past seminars and conference. In addition, members receive WEF publications including: Water Environment & Technology, Water Environment Research Online, WEF SmartBrief, WEF Conference Proceedings Archives Online.
Leadership Opportunities: Through involvement in FWEA's technical and management committees you can make the most of your membership. There are three broad levels of membership in FWEA.
Any individual working or interested in water quality may join FWEA as a Professional Member.

Professional Operator.................................................................. $75
Operators and technicians directly involved in water reuse, wastewater treatment, collection systems, or laboratory operations may join as Professional Operator Members.
Young Professional.......................................................................$49
Emerging leaders within the water quality profession who are either new to FWEA/WEF membership or making a transition from being a student member to a Professional member, may become Young Professional Members. Eligibility requires up to five years work experience in the industry and less than 35 years old. Valid for the first three years of WEF membership.
FWEA Only.....................................................................................$50
This rate is designed for government agency employees that wish to have access to FWEA benefits. WEF benefits do not apply.
Corporate......................................................................................$448
Corporate membership is available to companies that support the water environment profession and wish to affiliate their organization with the leaders of the water quality field. One corporate contact, from the Corporate member organization, is entitled to all Corporate member benefits.

The Executive package provides access to a comprehensive suite of WEF member benefits, designed to supply senior level professionals with access to water knowledge, the ability to stay current in the field, and the tools needed to make sound decisions.

Instructors/Professors interested in subjects related to water quality may become Academic Members.
Student...........................................................................................$20
Students who are enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours at an accredited college or university and provide written documentation, verifying their student status, may join as a Student Member. A faculty or advisor must provide signed verification of the member's student status on official school letterhead, within 30 days of joining.
